Songkran Festival, also known as the Water Festival, is Thailand’s most important New Year celebration. Apex has developed in Thailand for more than 20 years and values local culture and connections with employees. This year, we held the “2025 Apex Songkran Festival” to celebrate Thailand New Year together with all our colleagues. The event blended tradition and modernity, including 'Rod Nam Dam Hua' - a ceremony to ask for blessings by pouring water on the hands of respected elders, water splashing, fair, and a gender-inclusive beauty pageant, fully reflecting Apex's culture that embraces tradition and innovation.
This year’s celebration took place on April 9 and April 10 at the main hall of Apex 1 and the Four-Faced Buddha Square of Apex 2. The event kicked off with a monk blessing ceremony, with people extending from the Four-Faced Buddha Square to the factory gates, showcasing the devout and orderly nature of the Thai people. Next came the Buddha bathing and Rod Nam Dam Hua, where participants gently poured purified water over Buddha statues, and respectfully poured fragrant water on the management team. This symbolizes the mutual care and well-wishes between Apex and our employees.
Around the square, booths were set up for the fair, offering traditional Thai sweets and fun games, filling the space with a joyful festive atmosphere. In the evening, the highlight of the event — the Second Annual Beauty Pageant — took center stage. Open to all employees regardless of gender or age, the competition encouraged everyone to express themselves with confidence. Contestants were judged on their unique traits and live performance, with employee voting helping to determine the winners. Amid cheerful music, participants of various gender identities walked the runway in traditional Thai attire, radiating charm and celebrating the spirit of diversity, equality, and inclusion that Apex proudly upholds.
99% of Apex employees are Thai nationals. Apex management team follows a people-focused philosophy, striving to create a workplace that is closely aligned with the needs of our employees. In addition to the annual Songkran Festival celebration, we regularly organize charity fairs, arrange blind massage services, and establish open, accessible communication channels to fully support the physical and mental well-being of our employees and maintain strong ties with the local community. These initiatives not only contribute to creating a happy workplace but also align with our commitment to ESG goals of employee welfare and social prosperity.
As the New Year approaches, the Apex Songkran Festival celebration has not only strengthened our employees’ sense of belonging but has also deepened their connection with Apex. Looking ahead, we will remain true to our mission, upholding the spirit of "Good to you, Good to Apex" to continuously foster a positive and caring work environment, working hand in hand with our employees towards a sustainable future.
