The Company participated in the "E.Sun ESG Sustainability Initiative" held by E.Sun FHC, in response to ESG sustainable management

Today (18th) the Company was invited to participate in the "E.Sun ESG Sustainability Initiative" held by E.Sun FHC. President Tsai Ing-wen, Chairman of Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy Eugene Chien, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council Chih-Fang Huang, and other 100 A number of companies also participated in this sustainable public initiative. The content of this initiative focuses on controlling greenhouse gas emissions and investing resources in sustainable business operations. It is hoped that the entire supply chain will work together for ESG.

The Company promises to take action against climate change. In the future, the Company will conduct greenhouse gas inventory, pass ISO 14064 certification, and join the international organization CDP to fill in and disclose relevant carbon inventory information to strengthen greenhouse gas management to achieve the goal of energy saving and carbon reduction. The Company has also committed to integrating carbon reduction tools and technological resources in Asia-Pacific regions such as Taiwan and Thailand. The Apex GREEN Project is expected to invest about THB 1.4 billion to implement the "Apex Aqua Project" to build a new waste water treatment and water recycling system to improve the recycling efficiency of wastewater. In addition, the "Apex Solar Project" will invest about THB 140 million to build a solar system to increase the proportion of renewable energy input. The total nameplate capacity will reach 8MW. With Thailand’s natural advantage of an annual average sunshine of about 200 days, the total annual carbon reduction of the whole system is expected to reach more than 7,000 tons.

The Company looks forward to working with supply chain members to create sustainable value for all stakeholders, and to control greenhouse gas emissions and waste water recycling through specific power-saving and carbon-reduction plans and water resources management. Towards the goal of sustainable enterprise management, in addition to focusing on its own business operations, the Company also fulfills its corporate social responsibility by responding to the UN SDGs sustainable development goals with specific actions, committing to reducing the impact of enterprises on the environment, and continuing to work hard for the future of sustainable development.
