Recently, Apex went to a Northern Thailand rural area to build a solar system, assisting the disadvantaged to save energy and improve the water supply system. The improved system is expected to save about 30~40% on electricity expenses for the resident. Apex has long been dedicated to growing in Thailand with a people-oriented spirit. This plan is not merely to bring in a clean energy and sustainable mindset to the community, but also to build up a deep and win-win relationship with society.
In this village, groundwater is the main resource of domestic water. The original water supply system would pump the groundwater, filter it, store it in the water tower, and send it to the resident through the water pipeline. After discussion, Apex built a 5kW solar system to provide a part of the electricity for the water supply system. Besides, we expand the water cistern, renew the pipeline, and clean out the filter. This improvement is expected to extend the life of the original water supply system with an estimation of saving 30~40% on electricity expenses for the resident.
To promote the sustainable concept, Apex also cooperates with the government to disseminate the policy of reducing straw burning. Our employees also introduce the solar system to vocational school students. Through the previous communication with the locals and the government, most of the benefited residents are willing to use renewable energy and to sign the memorandum, promising to avoid straw and agricultural waste burning to reduce CO2 emission. A total of 121 households have signed on the memorandum, with a total land area of around 1,880,000 square meters. The local government also committed to providing straw balers to assist residents to deal with the straw to reduce the harmful impact on the environment.
Mr Sam Wu, Spokesman of Apex, said, "Apex has been deeply developed in Thailand for more than 20 years. We are dedicated to localization, and lots of our employees come from Northern Thailand. Through the rural charitable construction, employees would feel Apex's warm and caring for them." The rural charitable construction in Northern Thailand presents Apex's effort on caring employees and social participation. In addition, it not only achieves SDGs 11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities" and SDGs 7 "Affordable and Clean Energy", but also presents Apex's mutual spirit of "Good to you, Good to Apex".
