"2023 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards" held the award ceremony today (15). Apex won the Bronze Award in the Corporate Sustainability Reports category for the second time, highlighting the continuous recognition of Apex's sustainability report for completeness, credibility, and content quality in information disclosure.

Since 2016, Apex has voluntarily prepared the annual ESG report in Chinese and English. The 2022 ESG Report is prepared with reference to the latest Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, and the reporting principles outlined by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Besides, a third-party assurance was obtained to further enhance the quality and credibility of our sustainability information.

In terms of corporate governance, Apex established a Sustainable Development Committee last year to strengthen the direction and layout of sustainable operations. In addition, in the 2022 sustainability report, we enhanced the disclosure of material topics identified by stakeholders and presented the outcomes of important issues on environmental, social, and corporate governance through images and text. The annual ESG reports are also made publicly available in the ESG section on Apex's official website, making it easy for domestic and international stakeholders to review the latest sustainability news and the content of previous ESG reports.

In the environment section, in response to the carbon reduction trend, Apex launched the "GREEN Project" in 2021, which will bring benefits in carbon reduction and wastewater recycling. Parts of the solar energy system have already completed, and are expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 3,100 tons annually from this year. Regarding social engagement, besides our annual charitable donations to support nearby hospitals, local communities, and schools, we have also led our employees to participate in charity runs and went to a remote village in Northern Thailand to install solar panels and improve water supply systems. These efforts present our dedication to pursue the common good in society.

Facing the global sustainability trend, Apex recognizes that effective communication is a crucial goal for corporate sustainability. In the future, Apex will continue to enhance the quality of information disclosure through ongoing strategic planning in the three dimensions of ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) to fulfill corporate social responsibility, advancing hand in hand with stakeholders on the path of corporate sustainability.
