Yesterday (June 28), Apex was awarded the 2024 Asia Responsible Enterprise Award (AREA) "Corporate Sustainability Reporting" category with our 2022 ESG Report. This is the sixth time that Apex has recognized by Enterprise Asia, earning us the Silver Emblem of Sustainability. The Silver Emblem of Sustainability is awarded to companies that have won the AREA award six times, highlighting AREA's high regard for Apex's efforts in enhancing information transparency and consistently promoting sustainable operations.

The 2022 ESG Report was prepared in accordance with the latest international standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). The report enhanced the disclosure of material topics identified by stakeholders and presented the outcomes of important issues on environmental, social, and corporate governance through rich graphics and text. Besides, the report was assured by Crowe (TW) CPAs, enhancing the quality and credibility of our sustainability disclosures.

Apex continues to focus on corporate governance, environmental sustainability, and social engagement. In 2022, we established a Sustainable Development Committee and added a female director and an independent director to the sixth Board of Directors, increasing the independence of the Board and achieving our goal of Board gender diversity.

At the end of 2021, we launched the "GREEN Project" aiming to increase the proportion of renewable energy use and strengthen water resource management. As of 2023, the installed capacity of our self-built solar power systems has reached 5.1MW, reducing carbon emissions by over 3,700 tons annually. The average monthly wastewater recovery rate is around 25%. In terms of social engagement, Apex annually donates funds to hospitals, local communities, and schools. Additionally, Apex led employees in charity runs and public welfare activities such as setting up solar panels and improving water supply systems for residents in remote areas of northern Thailand, embodying the spirit of social well-being.

In the TWSE Corporate Governance Evaluation results released this April, Apex ranked in the top 5% among 952 listed companies for the first time; in the electronics category with a market capitalization of 5 to 10 billion, Apex also reached the top 5% for the first time, becoming the only listed company in the Printed Circuit Board industry to achieve this rank. Besides, Apex was recognized in global ratings. In the Sustainalytics ESG Risk Ratings from Morningstar, we received a low-risk rating. In the 2023 CDP Water Security Questionnaire, we achieved a management-level B score. Additionally, we have received the AREA awards from Enterprise Asia many times. In the future, Apex will continue to strengthen our corporate governance mechanisms, deepen our corporate sustainability development strategies, and collaborate with stakeholders to create a better future.
