As climate change intensifies, the importance of environmental protection and carbon reduction initiatives in corporate sustainability has become increasingly significant. Apex (4927) is committed to taking concrete actions to enhance corporate sustainability. At the end of 2021, we launched the "Apex GREEN Project," focusing on developing sustainability strategies, installing solar power systems, implementing energy-saving plans, promoting sustainability education, and fulfilling corporate social responsibility. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the sustainability of our factories and aligning with international sustainability issues.

All of Apex top management has participated in the kickoff meetings of the Apex GREEN Project, aiming to increase the substitution rate of renewable energy and strengthen water resource management to meet future factory water and electricity needs. As of 2023, the Apex solar power system has an installed capacity of 5.1 MW, reducing carbon emissions by over 3,700 tons annually. In 2024, the total capacity of Apex’s solar power systems is expected to exceed 8.3 MW with the addition of a new 3.2 MW solar system. The Lean Project is also progressing smoothly as planned and is verified by the Energy Conservation Center of Thailand in 2024, with an anticipated annual energy cost savings of approximately THB 72 million.

In addition to installing renewable energy systems in our factories, Apex is also actively promoting carbon emission management and sustainability education. In 2023, we began ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory system training and obtained external certification from SGS in June 2024. Furthermore, we have arranged lessons for employees to learn about the latest energy-saving technologies, participate in solar system education and training, and engage in the Gla-kuen-tin Project, which involves installing solar panels in rural areas of Northern Thailand. This project is not merely to introduce clean energy and a sustainable mindset to the community, but also to build up a deep and win-win relationship with society.

Apex will continue to strengthen corporate sustainability, expand solar power systems, and extend energy-saving projects to Apex 1. We also planned to obtain ISO 14064-2 carbon reduction certification and ISO 50001 energy management certification, steadily advancing on the path to corporate sustainability.
