Facing the increasingly serious problem of global warming, in order to mitigate the threat of climate change and respond to international trends, the Company's top management team upholds the concept of sustainable enterprise management and held a meeting recently to further discuss sustainable strategies and will launch the Apex GREEN Project. This project will further strengthen the ESG development blueprint based on the existing sustainable solutions. It is also planned to establish a sustainable development committee before the second quarter to lead the Company's ESG vision and policy, declaring the top management attaches great importance to the sustainable strategy.

Apex GREEN Project has three major elements. First of all, Apex plans to import ISO 14064 certification standard, and will develop an internal carbon footprint information collection platform to establish a more in-depth and complete carbon inventory mechanism as well as deepen indirect greenhouse gas inventory to pave the way for the development of carbon reduction plans. Secondly, actively seek alternative energy sources. Based on the foundation of Apex Sandbox and Apex Solar Project, the Company has discussed with energy-saving institution and vendor to find out more energy-saving opportunities to broaden the renewable energy solutions and enhance the implementation of the carbon reduction policy. Third, regarding waste pollution management, Apex is expected to reduce waste generation through the development of new process, along with the Apex Aqua Project to improve waste management and water resource management system for the purpose to moving towards the direction of resource recycling and reuse.

In addition to various large environmental friendly projects launched by Apex, the management team is also committed to enhancing employees' awareness of carbon reduction, integrating environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility into the mindset to our employees, leading employees to participate in green actions from daily practice to protect the environment.
