Apex (4927) released the 2024 Sustainability Report today (30th). Aiming to enhance information transparency, Apex has voluntarily prepared and released annual ESG Reports in both Chinese and English since 2016. These reports are available in the ESG section of our official website for stakeholders worldwide to access at any time.

The 2024 Sustainability Report was prepared in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and it also references the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Financial Stability Board (FSB) Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) standards. The report has also obtained an assurance statement from Afnor Asia Ltd. based on the AA1000 assurance standard.

Sustainable Environment
In 2024, the proportion of renewable energy usage exceeded 3%, contributing to a carbon reduction of nearly 5,000 tons, demonstrating the current results of Apex’s green transformation. In the same year, the installed capacity of completed solar power systems reached 8.3 MWp, which is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 6,000 tons annually. This project originates from the GREEN Project launched at the end of 2021, aimed at increasing the share of renewable energy and enhancing water resource management to meet future factory demands for electricity and water. In addition, the Lean Project and FA Goal for internal energy efficiency progressed smoothly as planned. As of 2024, energy consumption from related equipment operations has decreased by 13%, resulting in an annual electricity saving of over 21,600 MWh.

Social Prosperity
Apex is committed to fostering a happy workplace and a culture of diversity and inclusion. Women staff account for 57% among all employees, reflecting our commitment to gender equality. In 2024, the average training hours per employee exceeded 40 hours, covering courses including quality management, occupational safety, and onboarding programs. Apex keeps on passing the ISO 45001 certification for the occupational health and safety management system, and regularly conducts fire drills and health checkups to enhance employee safety awareness. Besides, Apex continued to hold charity activities in 2024, including support for local schools and medical resources, reinforcing long-term partnerships with both employees and local communities.

Corporate Governance
Apex’s Board of Directors includes a female director and has established a Sustainability Development Committee, with half of its members being independent directors, further enhancing the independence of sustainability governance. In the latest Corporate Governance Evaluation released this April, Apex scored over 100 points for the third consecutive year, ranking within the top 6% to 20% among listed companies. Among the electronics category for companies with a market value between NT$5 billion and NT$10 billion, Apex remained in the top 5% for two consecutive years. In the international certification, Apex once again passed the ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory verification issued by SGS (Thailand) in May, and is renewing the certification of the ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System.
