2021.08.19

Issuer: Apex International Co., Ltd.
Issuance date: 19 August 2021

Since the outbreak of the Delta virus in May, Thailand has experienced an overload of medical capacity and a shortage of medical resources. Since July, new cases have been broken for consecutive days. Apex shoulders the heavy responsibility of employees' health and safety, and has successively implemented various measures to combat the epidemic. In order to reduce the exposure of employees to the risk of COVID-19 and hope that employees can face it with optimism during the epidemic, the company launched the ABS (Apex Bubble & Seal) "production bubble" program. By reducing the risk of commuting to and from the factory by employees living in the factory, they can also increase productivity while living in the factory. Previously, 20% of the operators responded positively and the number of volunteers continued to increase. In addition to the active participation of operators in first-line production, more than 100 non-production line employees have also been voluntarily transferred to help the new plant increase output in response to the manpower and capacity needs of the new plant. Through the "Production Bubble" plan and the cooperation of employees, it is expected to stabilize the production capacity of the company's factories under the epidemic.

In addition, the Company has launched a number of internal epidemic prevention policies, including the "COVID-19 Prevention and Employee Health Management Policy", which not only creates a safe working environment, but also provides employees and their families with vaccinations, and actively purchases sufficient ATK for employee self-testing. In addition, the "Self-isolation Policy (FAI & FAQ) plans an isolation area that can accommodate 10% of employees, and external medical staff are employed to provide employee care. The "Employee Welfare Policy" is designed to prevent employees from gathering during meal times and increase the risk of infection. Outsourced manufacturers provide safe and hygienic lunch boxes. And sympathize with colleagues to fight the epidemic together, and add extra salary subsidies every month. At the same time, taking into account the relationship with external partners, continue to share epidemic prevention experience with local suppliers and extend a helping hand to the local government, including assisting government agencies in disinfecting the environment, conducting rapid screening tests, and donating epidemic prevention materials. Acknowledgment and thanks from the government of Samut Sakhon.
