Apex Held the Main Pillar Lifting Ceremony for the Apex 2 Rooftop Project.
2023.07.12

As the production capacity expands, the issues of dust and high temperatures on the rooftop of Apex 2 factory have become increasingly severe. To reorganize and fully utilize the rooftop space, Apex has initiated the Apex 2 Rooftop Project. This project involves the installation of solar panels to increase the proportion of renewable energy systems. The project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2024, without disrupting production operations. Upon completion, it will bring a brand-new appearance to Apex 2, which has been in operation for nearly 10 years.

The objective of this project is to improve the operational environment of the factory and address issues such as dust and high temperatures on the rooftop. The specific implementation plan includes upgrading the air-way system and adding a roof with a louvered design, which is expected to reduce the temperature by approximately 3 to 5 degrees Celsius and improve the productivity of both employees and machinery. Additionally, measures such as renovating the factory floor, improving the chemical storage area, upgrading the emergency system, and implementing IoT and SCADA systems to enhance the safety level of the factory, ensuring the safety of employees and equipment.

Furthermore, the improvement plan incorporates sustainable concepts and makes proper use of the rooftop space to install a solar energy system. The installation is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, with the installation of nearly 6,000 solar panels for the 3.2 MW solar systems. This will lead to an annual carbon emissions reduction of over 2,300 tons.

Apex has always been committed to sustainable development. The comprehensive planning of this renovation project for Apex 2 not only improves safety and efficiency but also provides employees with a safer and more comfortable working environment. By introducing green energy, we effectively reduce the environmental impact of the factory. In the future, we also plan to extend this project to Apex 1, demonstrating our concrete commitment to sustainability through practical actions.
